I would be honored to serve you and your family!

I have been with State Farm since 2016. I am proud to serve the residents of Oakland County and the surrounding area, including Washtenaw, Livingston, Wayne, Genesee, Lapeer, St Clair, and Macomb County and to all Michigan Residents. My agency opened its doors on November 1st of 2021 and offer everything from auto insurance to renter’s insurance, life insurance, homeowners insurance, business insurance and more. We also have competitive boat owners and recreational vehicle policies!

During my time in New Hudson, I have been proud to serve as a volunteer with the Lyon Township DDA and participate in many of the events they offer: Music on the Grand, Kite Fest, and The historical tour.

I live in Ypsilanti Michigan now with my girlfriend, (Ashley), our dog, (Ribeye), and our cat, (Angus). In our free time we enjoy exercising, kayaking, trying new restaurants and being in the great outdoors. We’ve also recently taken an interest in gardening to grow our own food. In the summer, I also enjoy exploring Michigan’s back-ways on my motorcycle.

Prior to working for State Farm, I spent 7 years working as a loan officer and customer service representative. Most of my time in was spent at a Michigan-based Credit Union. During my time in there, I saw many people who had not received the protection they needed from their insurance agents; I spent many an hour trying to help those people come up with a plan to recover from a loss that could have potentially been avoided. Eventually I decided that I could make a difference by moving into this industry and ensuring that I was providing needs-based risk management to my customers. State Farm is the foremost name in the industry and we truly strive to live by our mission “to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.”

I love meeting new people and have a passion for ensuring that each and every customer I work with receives a thorough risk management program to protect themselves and their families from the unexpected. Throughout my time as a State Farm Agent, I have helped over 300 families protect themselves with Life insurance. I also strive to ensure that anyone my office speaks with receives a comprehensive review of their auto insurance and homeowners insurance to ensure that any loss from fire, wind, theft, vandalism, and liability can be properly mitigated by the coverage options they select.

My desire is that John Wheeker State Farm will be able to positively impact the people of New Hudson, Oakland County, and our surrounding communities.
